Dear Me,

I know you don't always ask for much from anyone at all. All you need is just one goal in life: achieve true happiness. Do know that the only thing holding you back from achieving this, is you. Stop putting those limitations on yourself everyday, embrace and live your life.

1. Life has thrown many shit at you, stop complaining. It will go on until the day you die, it's part of life. But don't let it make you upset and do not let them take away your sunshine. Learn to grow stronger with it and be grateful for what you have. Stress is your enemy. Don't let it bring you down. The past will always be the past, you should only learn from it. So don't look back and keep moving on to a better future.

2. Keep on chasing your dreams. Make your own happiness. Those sexy abs, swimming with turtles, travelling the world, owning a house with a swimming pool, graduate.. All of it, never stop thinking of it. Go for it, no matter how far it seems. Don't ever give up and follow your heart. You know you cannot rely on anyone to make you happy, so do it on your own. Don't blame others for your sadness.

3. Family above all. Always make time for your family, especially your parents. Enjoy every second with them and stop being such a hot-tempered daughter. Listen to whatever they have to say regardless of whether it's an advice, or a nag, or a gossip, or a factual conversation. You will miss their voice when they're away from you. Never stop saying I love you to them. And try to control your voice and be really patient. YOU HAVE THE BEST PARENTS, AND THE BEST SISTERS ANYONE COULD EVER ASK FOR.

4. Love yourself. Stop comparing yourself to others. You are you. I know you've never loved your thick eyebrows, your rounded nose, but be thankful for them. Love them all like how you love those almond-shaped eyes and your soft palms. Each and everyone of it reminds you of your dad, your mom, grandma, and even aunties. Be thankful to grandma and your mom for your good complexion and soft palms, be thankful to daddy for the double eyelids, the thick eyebrows, and the lengthy frame. Some people want those eyebrows and admit it sometimes, you're really thankful when you see your friends struggling with those eyebrow pencils. Your curved backbone, don't hate it, it reminds you of how much you've swam and trained when you were still a teenager undergoing puberty. Take good care of it and sit with a good posture.

5. Love fearlessly. Let your guard down. You already know there's no such thing as a perfect guy. If you've found someone who can love you with all his heart, who accepts you for who you are, and you feel comfortable with him, love him. Yes, he will always make you cry, make you scream and be a monster. But remember, he has always made you feel happy. Don't forget this. He may not be perfect, but he's perfect for you. Stop arguing with him, apologize although you're not at fault because if you don't stop arguing, expect more tears. Don't try to change him into a person he's not, lead him to be a better person and support him in whatever decision he chooses.

6. Stop procrastinating. Remember the small quote you paste on your study table? "Hard times only make you stronger". Live up to it and get your shit done as soon as possible. I know it's boring and that you may feel as if you don't have a life. But, you will feel free from worry and enjoy yourself after that.

7. Do not have expectations. Always remind yourself, no expectations means no disappointment. There are so many different types of people out there. Stop believing in the fact that the way you treat others will be the way they will treat you in return. Always be open-minded and accept it no matter how good or bad the result may be. Some friends may not treat you like how you want them to, but remember, it always happens. You've survived high school drama and many other friend issue. It will be better if you just stop expecting.

8. Read and write more. Law students need to have good vocabulary and English. You cannot slack in your language. Take the initiative to speak and write properly. Those books in the shelves you have not read, take them all out and read them when you're free. Stop wasting those free time on Facebook, or Instagram, etc..

9. Remind yourself that you're wonderful. Sometimes you think you're not worth it. But then again, think of how far you've gone in life. I think you've been doing pretty fine. Remember the time when you secretly cry yourself to sleep, or when you hide somewhere to just cry your heart out. It's okay to do it once in a while, but after those tears are dried, tell yourself you are worth more than this. Don't bring yourself down. You are an amazing person and the only person who needs to realize this, is you.

Till then,
Because the things you write will be more powerful than you would have ever imagined.

p.s Be yourself, you're good at that.
